It launched as Crossroads, one of India’s first professionally run malls in 1999 in Mumbai’s prime Tardeo area by Ashok Piramal Group. In 2006 it hands from the Piramal group to Future Group for a price of Rs 260 crore. With a plan to transform it into a high-end lifestyle mall, Crossroads was shut down for almost two years and opened in 2009 as SoBo Central. Now, as per media reports, it is preparing to be converted into a high-end hotel-cum service apartments with an ownership change yet again. Future Group is reportedly in talks with the Ajay Piramal Group, through its real estate fund Indiareit. The deal size is estimated to be over Rs 400 crore. | ||
