Phoenix Mills will open its first mixed-use, retail-led destination in Bangalore in 2009. This multi-use development project, called Phoenix Market City, incorporates space for retail, entertainment, hospitality and high-end commercial activity. The project, which is spread across 3 million sq. ft. and includes parking and services, has a facade of 900 ft on Bangalore's Whitefield Road. The construction is expected to be completed by March 2009. Phoenix Market City, which involves an investment of more than Rs 645 crore, is being partly funded by the promoters and private equity players. The promoters involved in the project are Phoenix Mills, Horizon Ventures, HBS Realtors, Pinnacle Real Estate Development and Sharyans.
